As part of his personal practice to attain mastery of body, mind, and spirit, Drew is passionate about helping others in similar pursuits by providing bodywork therapy and teaching yoga to the Ann Arbor community.  As a trained professional in the Ida Rolf Method of Structural Integration, he aids his clients in the prevention and healing of physical injuries and misalignments through hands-on connective tissue manipulation.  He received his certification from the Guild of Structural Integration in 2007 where he studied with Emmet Hutchins and David Davis.

Drew’s extensive training in yoga supplements his thorough understanding of the structure and function of the human body and enhances his perspective as Structural Integration practitioner.  His experience as a yoga instructor draws upon his personal Iyengar training which he began over 15 years ago.  He has taught a variety of classes including sessions at Washtenaw Community College and private lessons. He is a member of the Ann Arbor School of Yoga where he continues to study as a student under the guidance of Laurie Blakeney.

Drew currently teaches yoga for all levels as well as training specifically tailored to meet the needs of martial artists and athletes. His classes focus on alignment, balance/stability, range of motion, and lengthening and strengthening the body where athletic training can shorten or weaken it. His classes are designed to help practitioners gain strength and flexibility to minimize resistance in movement and prevent common injuries associated with martial arts or other athletic training.

In his free time, Drew continues his study of martial arts which he began in 1994. He has studied Afro-Brazilian Capoeira de Angola and Shaolin Chinese Kung fu & Qigong and continues to study with the Ann Arbor School of Shaolin Boxing. He also teaches Qigong workshops and private lessons for health and well-being.
